Information on Querying the status of a UCR

Information on Querying the status of a UCR (ILE QUE message) post deployment of R4.6.0 impacting CDS User Interface (also known as Make and Manage an Export Declaration Online) and software connecting to the Customs Inventory Linking Exports API end point.

You will be aware of CDS release 4.6.0 which was deployed between 9:30pm on Saturday 28 September 2024 and 3:30am on Sunday 29 September 2024.

Following this release, HMRC have identified an issue with querying the status of a UCR that impacts CDS User Interface (also known as Make and Manage an Export Declaration Online) and software connecting to the Customs Inventory Linking Exports API end point to submit a query.

Identified issues

HMRC previously identified an existing issue with querying the status of a UCR at DUCR level whereby an error or no response is returned for declarations that have an item level package count of zero. They are working to develop a resolution to this issue to be deployed in a future IT release.

HMRC have also identified a new issue that impacts querying the status of a UCR at DUCR level for all declarations that were submitted before 29 September 2024. Declarations that were submitted after 29 September 2024 are not impacted unless they have an item level package count of zero. An urgent fix is planned for imminent IT delivery.

Please note: this issue does not impact MUCR level queries.
