Declarations for exports to the Canary Islands

The use of country code IC (Canary Islands) with declaration type EX is causing problems for traders making indirect exports to the Canary Islands.

26th January 2016

To Whom It May Concern

The use of country code IC (Canary Islands) with declaration type EX is causing problems for traders making indirect exports to the Canary Islands.

As previously advised, declarations for movements to the Canary Islands should be made using declaration type 'CO' and country code of destination 'ES' until further notice.

In order to prevent further indirect export declarations encountering problems at the frontier of other member states we are removing country code IC from the EX declaration group with immediate effect.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.
